Some proof that what we do actually works!

Kaleb is a locksmith.
I found Kaleb’s Google Business Profile in November 2024 and noticed he only had 1 Google review, no photos and no website listed on his GMB.
He did have a phone number though, so I took a chance and reached out to him directly via text, offering him a website to increase his online presence.
Kaleb responded with interest, stating that he was doing home renovation work, but wanted to expand his locksmithing business he was operating on the side.
He sent me a link to another locksmith’s website he liked. He wanted me to use it as inspiration and build him a very simple one page website (landing page) for his business.
That very night I got to work, and by the next day, Kaleb’s website was up and running, ready for customers to see and reach out for services.
Kaleb was happy with his new website, but as the smart entrepreneur he is, he didn’t think it was enough on its own to find more work.
And he was right. A website, no matter how amazing it is, is useless if people aren’t able to find it.
He asked me if I offered advertising services to drive traffic to his website, and what his options were.
He could have taken a few routes in order to drive more traffic to his business.
One potential option was SEO / Organic Content.
An organic channel like a blog on his website or an Instagram page would offer the most amount of potential growth for the lowest cost (if he did it all himself).
The problem? Kaleb wanted fast results. And organic content can take a long time to work and even longer to get good at creating.
In fact, content creation can take so much time to get right, that it can end up being more expensive than running paid ads, especially if you pay someone to create the content for you.
Because of this, I recommended that Kaleb should start with running paid ads first, and then expand with content later. After all, it’s a lot easier to create content after you already have customers.
I did some market research, and found out that Google was not allowing locksmiths to run new Google Pay-Per-Click campaigns.
This left Kaleb with one last option, Google Local Services Ads.
Locksmiths are a supported category on the platform in Canada, and since Kaleb didn’t have a large budget, being able to get the customers in the door before paying Google was very appealing to him.
So I collected Kaleb’s insurance information and sent him the link to complete a background check as required by Google.
After a few weeks his LSA profile was approved, up and running with his GMB optimized.
Here are the results:

In Kaleb’s very first month running Google Local Services Ads, we generated 42 leads, costing $21.71 per lead.

In his second month, Kaleb got 60 new leads, costing him only $16.07 per lead, plus Google gave him $57.83 for leads that were unqualified from the first month.

And in February 2025, Kaleb got 69 new leads for $1,263.94, meaning each new lead was $18.32.
As you can see the numbers speak for themselves.
- Kaleb’s locksmithing side hustle was able to grow into a main business quickly with very minimal risk upfront.
- So far in only 3 months, we have helped Kaleb get 171 new leads costing an average of under $18 per lead.
These are highly qualified leads. They are people specifically searching Google for emergency locksmith services in Kaleb’s service area.
And it is not counting the credits Google gives back when an unqualified lead calls looking for something you don’t offer. Literally no other ad channel will do this!
His Google Business Profile has also gained a huge increase in 5 star reviews.
- Starting with only 1 review, Kaleb now has 28 5-star reviews and growing fast.
- This has created an amazing snowball effect for Kaleb’s locksmithing business.
He started with a very limited budget and service area, but now:
- As his customer base grows, his revenue grows.
- As his revenue grows, his ad budget grows.
- As his ad budget grows, his 5-star reviews grow.
- And as his reviews grow, so does his business, and by extension, his bank account grows too.
Meaning he has more money to invest, expand into larger service areas, and invest in growing his business and his life.
